29.04.2015 : 80’s pop phenomenon TOYAH will be headlining Aylesbury Town Council’s 'Live in the Park' music festival on Saturday 29th August in Vale Park. TOYAH will be on stage at 8:30pm and is very excited to be performing at this free outdoor event. She tells us, “I am thrilled to be playing 'Live in the Park' in Aylesbury! It will be a wonderful, fun day with great music. It’s only 34 years since I received the FA Cup (Friars Aylesbury Cup) for selling out Friars faster than any other artist in the history of Friars….. so it’s about time I came back”.
TOYAH will be performing on stage following eight and a half hours of continuous live music, featuring many local bands and musicians, including Platform Soul, the ultimate soul, disco and dance band. Rob Casey, Platform Soul lead guitarist says, “We are very excited that Toyah will be headlining 'Live in the Park'. It's anhonour to share the large outdoor stage with such a popular national star as well as a wide range of talented local artists. 'Live in the Park' is going to be a great free concert in the center of Aylesbury, it'll be a gig to remember!”
Not only will there be a jam-packed program of live music in Vale Park, which starts at 12 noon, but you will also find a selection of traditional fun fair rides plus the mega slide for the family to enjoy for free. Bars and numerous catering stalls will also be available throughout the day to buy your refreshments. So put the date in your diary and get ready for a full day of free live music and entertainment. 26.05.2014 : Popular 90's band Toploader have been confirmed to headline this summer's Hobble on the Cobbles free music festival in Aylesbury Town Centre (24.08.2014).
Resurrected in 2006, after a gap of 28 years, Hobble On The Cobbles was the brainchild of entrepreneur and music promoter Stuart Robb, who has continued to help and support local bands and musicians throughout the local area for many years.
This year however, due to a combination of personal and other business commitments Stuart has decided to hand over the running and organisation of this year's event to the Aylesbury Town Council.
Stuart explained "HOTC has been great fun and I'm extremely proud of everything my team and I (Aylesbury Showcase) have achieved over the past 8 years or so in organising and essentially recreating this event from scratch, however due to a variety of existing business commitments, and of course the recent birth of my daughter, I have decided to take a step back from being so 'hands-on' with HOTC this year.
I will of course continue to be involved, and have already played a major part in securing some great bands, (including Toploader), I just won't be 'as involved' as I have been in previous years. It goes without saying HOTC is a massive event, and to be as successful as it has been takes alot of time and commitment to arrange, and I'm still very much looking forward to it!"...

at this event. The Line-Up will be announced shortly. Due to the
sheer volume of applicants this year, we have been unable to contact/reply

: THE
LAST LOCAL ROCK SHOW will take place at the Aylesbury
Civic Centre on Friday 28 May 2010. This event
will be the last ‘local-bands’ showcase at the Civic
Centre before the building gets knocked down, to make way for
the fantastic new Aylesbury Waterside Theatre – which is
currently scheduled to open on 12 October 2010. Tickets are £10,
and features seven bands, two stages and three bars. 14+ venue.
Doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets are available at the Aylesbury Civic
Centre: Box Office 01296 486009, and online at www.AylesburyCivic.co.uk.

A new book chronicling the history of Eddie and the Hot
Rods "Do Anything You Wanna Do" (what else!) written
by Steve Crancher, will be launched on May 3rd at Waterstones
book shop (Royals branch) in Southend on Sea. Original members,
Barrie Masters (who still fronts the band), guitarist Dave Higgs
and drummer Steve Nichol will all be there to sign copies of the
book.

: It is with great sadness and regret, that due to circumstances
beyond our control we are having to CANCEL
the Aylesbury Showcase Warm-Up gigs for Saturday
19 August and Saturday 26 August
(only) at The Britannia, Aylesbury. We are really sorry to have
to cancel this at such short notice, but there was no choice in
the matter. All other gigs remain scheduled as before.

staff and bar staff compete against each other in a series of
races around Kingsbury and Market Square to help raise money for
